Which one do you need?
“One of us likes firm, the other likes soft”
Pocket springs with a split-tension build, or two single mattresses on one base. A single firmness is a compromise both of you will feel every night.
“I wake up with lower back pain”
Usually too soft rather than too firm, and often a mattress past its life. Come and lie on a few — twenty minutes in the showroom tells you more than any description.
“It gets too hot at night”
Latex or pocket spring rather than memory foam, which traps heat by design. Natural-fibre bed linen matters here more than people expect.
“It’s for a guest room that’s rarely used”
Don’t overspend. A mid-range pocket spring with a good protector will outlast the number of nights it actually gets slept on.
“My bed is an odd size, or it was made by a carpenter”
Common with built-in beds and cots. Measure the inside of the frame in inches and we’ll have it made to that rather than force a standard size into it.
Talk it through
Come and lie on a few. Twenty minutes in the showroom settles firmness better than any description, and sizes are quoted in inches. The showroom is open Monday to Saturday, 11am – 8.30pm, or answer five questions and we’ll call you back knowing what you need.
