Which one do you need?
“Can it go straight over my existing floor?”
Often yes, if the existing floor is sound and level. That saves the mess and cost of breaking out. If it is hollow underneath or out of level, laying over it just moves the problem up a layer.
“Will wooden flooring survive an Indian summer?”
Laminate does, which is why we fit far more of it than solid wood here. Solid timber moves with humidity, and a floor that moves opens gaps at the joints.
“It’s a ground floor and the room feels damp”
Test before laying anything. Laminate over a damp slab cups and lifts, and you will be paying twice. Tile is the safer answer if the damp cannot be cured.
“I want it done without moving out”
Room by room is normal. What matters is agreeing where the furniture goes while each room is done, before anyone starts.

The showroom is open Monday to Saturday, 11am – 8.30pm, or answer six questions and we’ll call you back knowing what you need.
